But“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” ― Plato
Sometimes all you need is some music, and the world seems alright. Most of us have one song that amps up our mood instantly. It’s calming and brings a smile to our otherwise dull face. There are many tough times in our lives that can be really draining, and can leave us melancholic. It can be anything, a long day at work, a financial issue, an unexpected argument, etc. In these tough times, you have two best friends, which are always there for you; a book or a song. Books are great in general but when you need an instant fix there is nothing better than a peppy and cheerful song that you can listen to and hum along.
We all have one genre of music that can make us feel alive. For me it is Jazz.
The soothing sound of saxophone, the preppy tunes of piano, and soulful voices like Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra, what else can one ask for. Jazz for me is like a time-machine that takes me back in the golden era. There are a few jazz classics, that have stayed with me in thick and thin. They are melodious and have a timeless pep to them.
But not all jazz songs are as good. In fact, there are very few that are evergreen. To bring the best of Jazz to you we have curated a list of songs that can lift your mood instantly and brighten you day. They are good for any occasion, you can listen to them while your way to the office, in the subway, or even after a long day at work.
