How to make the best Chicken Tikka in Air Fryer?
Prep time: 20-30 mins
Marination time: 3-4 hours
Cook time: 15-20 mins
Serves: 2-3 people
300 Grams of Chicken Breast
2 tablespoon mustard oil
1 Cup Fresh Yoghurt
Salt to taste
½ Tablespoon Red Chilli powder
½ Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
1 Small Packet of Chicken masala
½ Tablespoon Chat Masala Powder
Marinating the chicken
Wash the chicken pieces thoroughly and pat them dry.
In a bowl add yogurt, Ginger garlic, mustard oil, Paste, and spices and mix well to make a paste.
Add the chicken and mix well using your hands.
Cover the marinated chicken and rest in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours. Leave it overnight for maximum flavor.
Line your air fryer basket with aluminum foil (this is optional but makes less mess).
Add the marinated chicken to the basket.
Set the air fryer to 180 degrees Celsius or 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Air fryer chicken tikka for 10 minutes.
After 5 minutes flip the chicken pieces and brush them with a little oil.
Once the timer goes off, set your air fryer to 200 degrees Celsius or 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Air fry the chicken to get the charred effect.
Let the tikka cool for 2-3 minutes.
Serve hot with freshly cut onion rings, lemon wedge, and mint chutney.
